From June 7th to 9th, the Garfield Sobers Gymnasium came alive with innovation, collaboration, and community engagement during the annual Trade & Innovation Expo. Barbados Steel Works was proud to be an exhibitor in the Disaster Preparedness Zone, where we showcased products and solutions essential for safeguarding homes and businesses during the hurricane season and beyond.
Our booth featured a range of our high-quality roofing sheets, hurricane straps, and other disaster preparedness items, all designed to help Bajans build stronger, more resilient structures. Visitors got a firsthand look at the durability and design of our products, and our team was on hand to provide expert advice on how to secure homes from foundation to roof.
One of the highlights of the event was our fun and engaging “Guess How Many Screws Are in the Container” challenge. Dozens of visitors stepped up to take their best guess, and we were thrilled to award prizes to the sharpest minds who came closest to the correct number. The smiles say it all, check out some scenes from our booth and the prize presentation below!

We’re always excited to be a part of events like this, where we can connect with the community and highlight the importance of disaster preparedness. A big thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth. We look forward to serving your needs from foundation to roof… and everything in between!
