Barbados Steel Works recently had the privilege of participating as an exhibitor at Disaster Preparedness Expo held by Cariguard on May 18, 2024. This event served as an excellent platform for us to showcase our range of hurricane preparedness products, and we were thrilled to engage with the community on such an important topic.
Our display was thoughtfully designed to highlight the critical role that quality materials and proper construction techniques play in safeguarding homes and businesses during hurricane season. Central to our exhibit was an impressive display board featuring our premium Roofing Sheets and Hurricane Straps, which showcased the quality and range of our roofing sheets, which are manufactured locally to industry standards. Our hurricane straps, essential for securing roofs to the main structure of buildings, were also a focal point, drawing attention to their critical function in preventing roof uplift during high winds.
In addition to our roofing solutions, we showcased an array of other hurricane preparedness products. From tarpualins to first aid kits, we emphasized the importance of comprehensive planning anddisaster readiness.
Our team was on hand to provide answer questions, and offer advice. The positive feedback and active engagement we received reaffirmed our commitment to helping the community build safer, more resilient homes.
